Position: Redis Engineer (On-Prem Database)
Location: Louisville, KY
Job Requirements:
· Hands-on experience with Redis, including real-world implementations and use cases
· Strong knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization
· Experience with Redis Cluster setup, management, and scaling
· Proficiency in Redis Enterprise Platform administration
· Development experience using Core Java (preferred: .NET exposure as well)
· Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components such as DNS
Key Responsibilities:
Engineer Solutions
· Define and implement best practices for on-prem Redis database environments
· Support internal stakeholders in meeting both technical and business requirements
2. Drive Efficiency
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and engineering practices
· Enhance overall performance and efficiency of Redis-based systems
3. Technical Escalation
· Act as Tier-3 support, assisting SRE and L2 teams in resolving complex production issues
· Troubleshoot and resolve critical Redis-related incidents
4. Ensure System Reliability
· Develop automation tools, scripts, and runbooks
· Improve system stability, scalability, and reliability of Redis environments
5. On-Call Support
· Participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend support
· Ensure high availability and timely incident resolution
Essential Skills
· Strong expertise in Redis (Administration + Development)
· Experience with Redis Enterprise Platform
· Solid programming skills in Core Java
· Understanding of distributed systems and caching strategies
Desirable Skills
· Experience with .NET development
· Exposure to SRE/DevOps practices
· Knowledge of monitoring tools and automation frameworks

Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (optional but preferred)
