Job Summary:
A results-driven Infrastructure DevOps Engineer responsible for managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud platform enhancements, and release coordination. This role focuses on improving system reliability, scalability, and security while supporting application deployments and infrastructure transformations.
Required Skills:

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate

At least 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer managing infrastructure and application services

Strong experience with:

Git, CI/CD pipelines
-
Docker, containerization
-
Kubernetes, Argo CD
-
AWS cloud platform
-
Istio service mesh
-
Monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus
-
Scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)

Key Responsibilities:
-
Manage and rotate application certificates to ensure security and compliance across environments
-
Perform source control operations using Git, including branch creation, maintenance, and release management
-
Act as Release Lead for periodic releases from the infrastructure team:
-
Oversee infrastructure-related changes (configurations and secrets management)
-
Support QA deployments
-
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve infrastructure-related issues
-

Develop and maintain automation scripts:
-
Automate branch cut processes and other operational tasks
-
Enhance scripts to handle new edge cases and improve efficiency
-

Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions:
-
Create alerts and dashboards using Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus
-

Build and maintain reusable infrastructure components:
-
Develop base Helm/chart repositories with configurable templates to support multiple applications
-

Manage containerization and image security:
-
Build and maintain Docker base images
-
Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in existing images
-

Support testing and validation:
-
Assist in functional testing of infrastructure changes
-

Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives:
-
Migrate AWS clusters to Istio-based architecture
-
Lead platform transition from AMD64 to ARM64 (Graviton)

Collaborate across teams and stakeholders:
-
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients via email and virtual meetings

Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for new repositories
-
Deploy and manage Argo CD and its components:

Plan and execute periodic upgrades

Handle application deployments:

Perform initial setup and deployment of applications in non-production and production environments
