What this role really means:

This person focuses on how a company makes money using Salesforce.

They handle:

  • Pricing
  • Quotes
  • Subscriptions
  • Billing

They don’t code — they design the business logic.

 

What they do daily:

  • Work with business teams → “How should pricing work?”
  • Configure processes in Salesforce Revenue Cloud
  • Support quote-to-cash lifecycle
  • Help testing (UAT)

 

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote)
  • Understanding of Billing / Subscription models
  • Requirement gathering & documentation
  • Revenue lifecycle understanding
  • Salesforce CPQ certification
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription businesses
