Job Description:
Required Skills
- SQL (Advanced)
- Strong ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical SQL queries
- Experience building complex transformations for analytics workloads
- Python
- Proficiency in Python for building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines
- Experience with scripting, automation, and custom ETL/ELT processes
- dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Hands-on experience developing dbt models in a production environment
- Strong understanding of dbt best practices (refs, sources, tests, macros, tags)
- Experience implementing data quality tests using dbt
- Data Modeling
- Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling (fact tables, dimension tables)
- Experience designing analytics-ready data models
- Medallion / Layered Architecture
- Experience working with bronze, silver, gold data layers
- Familiarity with staging, intermediate, and mart patterns
- Cloud Data Warehousing
- Experience with Snowflake (or similar platforms such as BigQuery)
- Understanding of performance optimization and scalable analytics design
- Workflow Orchestration
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect
- Ability to schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines
- Data Quality & Testing
- Understanding of data validation, testing strategies, and pipeline reliability
- Version Control & Collaboration
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Comfortable participating in code reviews and collaborative development
