Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Frontend UI Developer with extensive MERN stack expertise to build high-performance, consumer-facing web applications. This is a strictly hands-on role focused on daily React.js development, creating scalable UI components, and optimizing cross-browser compatibility. You will collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST APIs and ensure the frontend architecture is responsive, performant, and aligned with modern JavaScript (ES6+) standards.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Core
React & Frontend Engineering
- Component Architecture: Design and develop scalable, reusable UI components using React.js to maintain a consistent design system.
- Advanced JavaScript: Utilize ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3 to build complex interactive features and ensure high-quality code through modern patterns.
- Performance Optimization: Debug and optimize production UI issues, focusing on rendering speeds, responsive design, and cross-browser stability.
Full-Stack Integration
- Data Persistence: Leverage MongoDB for efficient data handling and schema management within the MERN ecosystem.
- Backend Connectivity: Utilize Node.js and Express.js to facilitate seamless integration with REST APIs.
- State Management: (Nice to have) Implement robust state management solutions using Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
Collaborative Development
- Agile Workflow: Participate in Scrum ceremonies and manage version control via Git to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Testing & Quality: (Nice to have) Write unit and integration tests using Jest or Cypress to ensure frontend reliability.
- UI Frameworks: Apply styles and layouts using modern libraries like Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or Ant Design.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Frontend Mastery: 8+ years of strictly hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern CSS.
- MERN Proficiency: Solid experience with MongoDB and working knowledge of Node.js/Express.js.
- API Integration: Proven track record of integrating complex REST APIs into frontend applications.
- UI/UX Standards: Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and UI performance metrics.
- Environment: Willingness to work 4 days onsite in Seattle, WA.
