The City is seeking an Oracle APEX full stack developer to support a robust financial application that drives key revenue streams. The candidate must be highly experienced in designing and executing complex Oracle SQL logic used to integrate data with the City’s Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning system. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle APEX application development, database design, and performance tuning.
The ideal candidate will have ten years of experience as an Oracle APEX full stack developer, including gathering requirements and developing browser-based applications using Application Express. The position requires extensive experience designing and maintaining custom Oracle APEX applications, as well as developing SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data conversion and data migration. The candidate must be proficient in developing external tables, joins, indexes, and sequences and be capable of writing ad-hoc SQL queries and shell scripts.
The role requires deep knowledge of query optimization and PL/SQL performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, indexing strategies, hints, Bulk Binds, and Bulk Collect. Candidates must demonstrate strong experience debugging complex applications and resolving defects in a fast-paced environment. The ability to create dynamic reports using APEX reporting tools is essential, along with the capability to lead groups, gather requirements, define solution approaches, and remediate issues effectively.
