About the Role: We’re looking for a hands-on Business Systems Analyst who operates like a full-stack engineer with strong experience in automation, AI, and enterprise system design. This role sits within the Finance Modern Technology Office and focuses on building internal tools, automating workflows, and embedding AI into day-to-day finance operations.
You’ll work directly with business stakeholders, design solutions end-to-end, and independently ship high-quality systems. This is a builder role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys turning ideas into working software.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Finance teams to map processes and identify automation opportunities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack internal applications (backend + frontend)
- Develop and optimize APIs, workflows, and system integrations
- Build and deploy LLM/GenAI-powered automations and internal AI tools
- Implement software engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, and version control
- Own solutions end-to-end: architecture, development, deployment, and support
- Ensure systems meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, and reliability
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and technology roadmaps
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve productivity
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years Front-End: ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- 5+ years Back-End: Python (FastAPI, Pydantic)
- 3+ years with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Strong experience with AWS (S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS, EC2)
- 1+ year experience with LLMs / GenAI integrations
- Experience building enterprise-scale applications
- Strong background in workflow and business process automation
- Proficiency in API design, performance optimization, and system architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
- Strong Linux/Unix command-line skills
- Experience with cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups)
- Familiarity with secure coding, compliance, and data governance
Nice-to-Have:
- Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration
- Event-driven architectures, WebSockets, SSE, real-time systems
- Agentic AI or AI workflow orchestration
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform or CDK
- Monitoring/Observability: CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- Experience with automation tools: UiPath, Alteryx, Workato, n8n
- Experience designing internal platforms and translating business needs into technical solutions
