Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Minimum 1 day onsite per week. Must be flexible to work onsite up to 5 days per week if required by management.

Role Summary:
This is a highly technical position responsible for the architecture, administration, and ongoing support of complex Microsoft Windows Server environments across on-prem and cloud platforms. The focus is on Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization technologies, enterprise storage and backup, and disaster recovery processes. This role collaborates closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to deploy, migrate, harden, and manage services in AWS and Azure as well as physical data centers, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
Required Skillsets:
Administration and support of enterprise Windows Server environments including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
Strong expertise with Active Directory services including AD DS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy design and troubleshooting
Identity and access management including service accounts, OU structure, delegation models, and security groups
Power scripting for automation, configuration management, and operational support
Windows Server hardening and security best practices including baseline configurations, auditing, and certificate usage
Virtualization experience using VMware vSphere and or Hyper-V, including VM lifecycle management and performance tuning
Backup and recovery operations including restores and disaster recovery testing
Monitoring and alerting using event logs, performance monitoring, and enterprise monitoring platforms
Support and troubleshooting of Windows services and applications including IIS, file services, print services, scheduled tasks, and RDP
Ability to document technical standards, procedures, and recovery runbooks
Desired Skillsets:
Networking fundamentals including load balancing, service APIs, DNS, gateways, proxies, and firewalls
Microsoft endpoint and server management tools such as SCCM or MECM, WSUS, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint
Experience with Microsoft Exchange if applicable, Microsoft 365, and hybrid identity using Entra ID and Azure AD Connect
Familiarity with CI and CD concepts related to infrastructure and automation
Experience using Git for version control of scripts and configuration
Certificate infrastructure knowledge including AD CS and TLS certificate lifecycle management
Cloud compute and Windows workloads in AWS or Azure including EC2, FSx, S3 integrations, Azure VMs, and Azure Files
High availability and clustering experience including Failover Clustering and load-balanced services
Exposure to container concepts and Windows containers is a plus
Interview and Compliance Requirements:
In-person interviews are preferred
Virtual interviews are permitted for out-of-town candidates and must be conducted on camera
PHEAA does not reimburse travel for in-person interviews
Interviews must be conducted in a private location such as a reserved library room or a secured room in the candidates home
Candidates must perform a 360-degree camera view of the room to confirm they are alone and this may be requested at any time
