Job Title: VMware Systems Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!)
Rate: $48 /hr on C2C
JD:
Digital: VMware – 4+ years’ experience
Design and Implementation Create and deploy virtualization solutions to meet business needs.
System Management Install, configure, and maintain virtual machines (VMs), vCenter Server, and ESXi hosts.
Performance and Optimization Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize virtual environments for efficiency.
Security and Compliance Implement security measures, manage access control, and perform security audits.
Maintenance and Upgrades Perform routine maintenance, including patching, system upgrades, and implementing new features.
Documentation Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations and procedures.
Backup and Disaster Recovery Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines, ensuring system performance, security, and availability, and performing troubleshooting and upgrades.
The role requires a strong understanding of networking, storage, and security within a virtualized environment, often with a need for scripting skills (like PowerShell) and relevant certifications.
