Job Description
The Validation Engineer will support aggressive power
conversion validation programs by executing hardware validation testing in the
EPIC Lab (Engine Paralleling and Integration Control). This role is highly
handson and safety critical, focused on ensuring high quality data,
disciplined execution, and adherence to lab safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
Execute hardware
validation tests for power conversion systems in a high energy lab
environment
Own assigned validation
test plans and schedules
Prepare and submit
detailed lab test requests (power levels, voltage, instrumentation,
environmental needs)
Configure test setups, request and verify instrumentation, and ensure calibration compliance
Perform test execution
across assigned lab zones and shifts
Maintain accurate test
documentation, logs, and data quality records
Support posttest data
analysis and contribute to validation reports
Actively participate in
and reinforce a safetyfirst lab culture, including peertopeer safety
accountability
Work onsite daily; no
remote or hybrid option
Summary of Qualifications
Required
Handson hardware test
or validation experience (softwareonly testing does not qualify)
Experience working in a
physical lab environment with electrical or electromechanical systems
Strong understanding of
lab safety practices and PPE requirements
Ability to follow
structured test plans and execute repeatable validation procedures
Willingness to work early
shift (6:00am start) and participate in splitshift operations
Comfort working in a
fastpaced, scheduledriven validation environment
Strong documentation
discipline and attention to data quality
BS or MS degree
Preferred
2+ years of relevant
hardware test or validation experience
Experience with power
electronics, high voltage systems, or energy dense environments
Familiarity with
instrumentation, calibration tracking, and lab asset control
Experience contributing
to test reports or posttest data analysis
Prior experience in a
reputable engineering or validation lab
