Job Title: Experimentation Project Manager
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Contract
Job Overview & Responsibilities
§ Focused on running an experimentation machine built over the last fiscal (own email experimentation — including prioritized learning roadmap, ad hoc team support, and managing repository, and data/tracking workflows).
§ One focused on evolving our Analytics capabilities through partnership across our team (marketing) with our data counterparts (two GM teams reporting into the same CVP). This role would own project management of our aligned workflows supporting the building, evolving, and launching of new analytics capabilities as well as routing requests to the right team members.
§ Email experimentation (prioritized + ad hoc)
§ Automated datasets
§ Experiment repository
§ ADO tracking
1. Able to lead and organize cross-functional teams around a roadmap
2. Able to hold strategy and detail simultaneously
3. Working mental map of data environments, hard logic skillsets (e.g., coding), or technical system lows. Note: Background in analytics, data science, or a/b testing is ideal but often difficult to find. I find those with strong mental maps of related fields have an easier time ramping in.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
§ At least 5 years of relevant work experience in project management, operation and data analytics
§ Technical aptitude and at least 5 years hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization tools and technology
§ Ability to work effectively across multiple business & engineering teams
§ Ability to translate business questions into analytics problems
§ Comfortable dealing with ambiguity & working independently
§ Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s, Master’s in a quantitative field; an MBA is a plus
§ A willingness to learn, share, & improve
§ Great written & verbal communication skills
§ Demonstrated ability to lead project teams in analytics towards measurable business impact
§ Understanding of data analytics technologies: SQL, Power BI
§ Passion for data and the desire to learn & adopt new technologies & analysis methodologies
