🚀 Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Operations Lead to ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement of mission-critical Windows/IIS applications with growing workloads in Azure and AKS. This role owns release management, CI/CD execution, and production reliability for a core enterprise application stack.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in hybrid environments (on-prem + Azure), loves operational ownership, and can lead production issues from triage through full resolution.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Release & Deployment Management
*
Own end-to-end release processes for .NET / IIS applications and backend services
*
Lead deployments across on-prem Windows Server clusters and Azure environments
*
Maintain release calendars and coordinate SQL Server changes, application pushes, and infrastructure updates
*
Lead go/no-go meetings and validate health across IIS pools, Windows Services, and AKS pods
2. CI/CD & Process Automation
*
Manage and optimize Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines) CI/CD workflows
*
Oversee artifact promotion through dev → test → staging → prod
*
Implement IaC practices using ARM Templates and Terraform
*
Standardize and improve build-test-deploy-monitor processes
3. Operational Excellence & Systems Reliability
*
Ensure performance, security, and uptime across IIS web apps and Windows Server infrastructure
*
Partner with DevOps on AKS cluster scaling, configuration, and tuning
*
Coordinate SQL Server deployment processes and data integrity with DBA/Data Engineering teams
4. Incident & Problem Management
*
Serve as incident commander for production outages and degradations
*
Diagnose issues using IIS logs, Windows Event Viewer, Azure Monitor, AKS logs, Application Insights
*
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive permanent remediation plans

✔ Required Qualifications
*
7+ years in production operations, release engineering, or platform management roles
*
Deep hands-on experience with:
*
Windows Server & IIS administration
*
SQL Server deployment processes
*
Expertise in Azure DevOps CI/CD (YAML pipelines, build agents, artifacts)
*
Strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) — pods, ingress, services, deployments, troubleshooting
*
Practical experience with IaC (Terraform, ARM Templates)
*
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools:
*
Site 24×7, DataDog, Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics
*
Solid understanding of networking concepts (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, hybrid network models)
