Responsibilities
• Alation Platform Administration:
◦ Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Alation.
◦ Configure and maintain data sources, connections, and integrations.
◦ Create and customize workflows, policies, and automation rules.
◦ Monitor platform health, performance, and usage.
◦ Upgrade and patch the Alation instance as needed. ◦ Experience on Azure Virtual machines management, networking, and firewall. ◦ Hands on Experience on self-hosted Alation installations. ◦ Alation HA setup and maintenance.

◦ Provide first and second-level support to Alation users, addressing technical issues and guiding feature usage.
◦ Develop and deliver training materials, onboarding sessions, and documentation.
◦ Proactively promote Alation adoption and best practices across the organization.

• Data Governance Collaboration:
◦ Work closely with data stewards, data owners, and business analysts to align Alation configurations with data governance policies and processes.
◦ Define and implement data quality and metadata management standards.
◦ Contribute to the development and enforcement of data access and security policies.

◦ Identify areas for improvement in Alation's configuration and usage.

Qualifications
• Required:
◦ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
◦ 2+ years of experience in a data-related role (e.g., data analyst, data engineer, database administrator). ◦ Working knowledge of data governance principles, data quality, and metadata management. ◦ Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
