Urgent C2C Requirement: Senior API Developer – GCP (Remote)

Role: Senior API Developer – GCP
Location: Remote
Experience: 10+ years
Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST/SOAP APIs.

• Develop API solutions leveraging GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, API Gateway, and Cloud Endpoints.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with backend systems and microservices.

• Implement API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).

• Optimize API performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

• Maintain API documentation and best practices.

• Mentor junior developers and guide API development standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on API development.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on GCP experience.

• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP, Microservices, JSON, XML, HTTP.

• Programming experience in Python, Node.js, Golang, or similar languages (Java optional but not mandatory).

• Experience with API security, rate limiting, and versioning.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native development.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GCP monitoring and logging tools.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and serverless computing.

• Experience in mentoring or leading API teams.
