• Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL database software.

• Experience with SQL database software patching, encryption, and wallets.

• Monitor database performance and optimize for efficiency.

• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user roles and privileges.

• Proven experience in migrating databases across different SQL Server versions or platforms

• Proficiency in using migration tools like SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA)

• Understanding of data cleansing and transformation techniques

• Experience with data migration strategies for complex database environments

• Experienced with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance

• Ability to migrate on-premise SQL Server databases to Azure

• Understanding of cloud-based data management concepts

• Perform database backups and recovery operations.

• Manage database storage and capacity planning.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

• Develop and implement database policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas.

• Ensure data integrity and consistency across databases.

• Provide support for database-related queries and issues.

• Conduct regular data audits and manage data integrity.

• Define logical data requirements and structures for applications.

• Query tunning and collaborate with application team.

• Design and implement logical databases in accordance with end users'' information needs and views.

• Perform logical database administration tasks to ensure system performance, efficiency, and reliability.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in database administration and management.

• Experience with High availability and Always-on

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder residing within the continental U.S.

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proficiency in SQL Server, including versions 2012 and later.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Proven experience as an Microsoft SQL Database Administrator.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL database architecture and administration.

• Strong knowledge of T-SQL and database schema design..

• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.

• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience configuring monitoring solutions.

• Familiarity with database automation tools and scripting languages.

• Experience with database hosted from Virtual platforms, such as Nutanix.

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions, (e.g. Azure SQL Database)

• Experience with other database management systems (e.g., Oracle MySQL).

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.

• Experience with Microsoft System Center Management Pack for SQL Server.

• Experience with PowerShell
