We are seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Dynamics 365 Consultant to support a large-scale migration from Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2012 to Dynamics 365 for a public-sector Customer Service organization. This role will play a critical part in bridging business process analysis with technical configuration, ensuring that operational workflows across multiple departments are accurately translated into a scalable, modern Dynamics 365 solution.
The consultant will be heavily involved during the Process Mapping and System Build phases, working closely with Customer Service leadership, IT, and multiple operational partner departments to design, configure, test, and deploy a future-state Dynamics 365 CRM platform.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead and support process mapping efforts to document current-state and design future-state workflows across Customer Service and partner departments
Translate business requirements into Dynamics 365 configurations, workflows, and functional specifications
Collaborate with IT and development teams on system configuration, integrations, and data migration activities
Support sandbox configuration, validation, and configuration sign-off activities
Participate in and support data migration testing, UAT, and defect resolution
Assist with training material development, user readiness activities, and knowledge transfer
Support go-live, stabilization, and early performance monitoring
Contribute to post-implementation review, enhancement planning, and optimization recommendations
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity
Required Experience / Skills
5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 in a techno-functional capacity
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service module
Prior experience supporting public-sector or municipal organizations
Strong background in business process analysis, workflow design, and requirements documentation
Experience supporting or leading CRM migrations (on-prem to cloud preferred)
Familiarity with system configuration, security roles, forms, views, workflows, and business rules
Experience supporting data migration testing and system integrations
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical teams and business leadership
Experience working in cross-functional, multi-department environments
Nice-to-Haves
Prior experience supporting public-sector or municipal organizations
Dynamics 365 certifications (Functional Consultant, Customer Service, or related)
Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
Exposure to Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
