Job Title –Solution Architect (Kubernetes & PCF)

- The Kubernetes Architect will serve as a technical thought leader and SME for our public Cloud / DevOps ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers.
- The Kubernetes Architect works as part of the engineering team to support the design and implements the Kubernetes solutions.
- They will recommend, evaluate, and implement methods to optimize and enhance the application within the cloud environment to maximize performance and minimize costs.
- Lead development, deployment, and testing activities with various Kubernetes environments (Azure AKS/AWS EKS/Google GKE/VMware Tanzu/Red Hat OpenShift, Rancher)
- Architect, design, and implement Kubernetes environments from the agile planning stage to production deployments.
- Lead the effort in building frameworks for auth providers and authentication protocols building and exposing API’s to GitLab, Service Now etc.
- Lead and take part in readiness assessments, workshops, roadmap/design sessions, and tool/environment modernization discussions
- Lead architecting sessions with business and technology owners as a technical expert
- Provide systems support in and out of office hours
- Evaluating, Benchmarking and rolling out platform components like API Gateway, Traffic Routers, Container Schedulers, etc
- Driving centralized solutions like Service Discovery, Feature Toggling, Rate limiting, etc
- Developing frameworks on top of infrastructure platform to abstract the complexities and provide simple interfaces (API and UI) to deploy and scale applications
- Extend or develop plugins on top of Kubernetes and modules in Terraform to solve needs for scaling Working with Application Development teams to refactor the apps or build new modules to help onboard new architectures
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud computing.
- Lead client demonstrations and working sessions
- Mentor junior staff and support project leadership
- Lead the creation of written deliverables
- Lead a team of technical delivery resources on complex projects
- Travel as needed
- Maintains several relevant and higher-end certifications
Skillset:
- You are a guru of large, high-capacity application solutions and have the vision to implement a robust workflow.
- Must be able to demonstrate deep experience in the Docker, Kubernetes platform and landscape.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound understanding and experience with the Cloud Foundry platform.
- Strong experience with Design & Architecture of Container Security, IAM, Privilege Management , Network and Data Security.
- Strong background in and Deep grasp of Network protocols such as TCP, IP, HTTP, and network protocol analysis tools.
- Should have experience in Gitlab and able to write pipelines for different frameworks based on customer requirement.
- Strong knowledge on APIs and building their functionalities and exposing APIs to Gitlab, ServiceNow etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience on authentication mechanisms like LDAP, MFA and their protocols.
- Strong Software Development background.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and curious to learn.
- Experience in building microservices and event driven architectures.
- Strong experience in both Golang and Python programming languages is must .
- Maintains several relevant and higher-end certifications.
- Sound understanding of cloud and PaaS technologies.
