Hello, Hope you are doing well, Role: Software Tester Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite from Day 1) Job Description: The Software Test Engineer will perform manual and automated software testing of software connected to microbiology medical devices and be part of the Software Test Team. The applicant will work in a cross functional team environment and support all phases of software development, including requirements, feasibility, implementation, verification/validation, and support of the commercialized product. Responsibilities 1. Setup test environment installing Windows Desktop Software for multiple different hardware and software configurations which may involve installing an OS, networking the PC, and connecting to instrumentation. 2. Define Test Approach by collaborating with other testers, developers, and product owner. 3. Draft, Execute, Review and Approve manual and automated software tests in Azure DevOps. 4. Document Verification Plan and Verification Summary report as needed during various phases of the project. 5. Document software defects discovered using different types of testing across the different project phases. 6. Investigate and troubleshoot software technical issues as they come up. 7. Work in cross‐functional Agile Scrum project teams and actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies using Azure DevOps 8. Estimate software testing tasks and provide input to project schedules The essential requirements of the job include: 9. 3+ years of manual software testing and 2+ years of automated testing using Python/TestComplete or similar 10. Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills 11. Ability to quickly ramp up on a complex project and work on a tight deadline 12. Experience testing software with a database and familiarity with SQL queries 13. Familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language 14. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, SE, or CE 15. Available to work onsite in the West Sacramento office It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 16.
