Job Title: Snowflake Admin/DBA With RBAC Experience
Location: 100% Remote

Job Description:
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA) with 10+ years of experience to manage, optimize, and secure our cloud data platform.
* The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake's architecture and a strong focus on implementing and maintaining Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure data governance and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Snowflake Administration & Optimization:
* Administer and manage the Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. * Manage and optimize Snowflake virtual warehouses for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. * Perform query performance tuning, analyze execution plans, and recommend SQL and schema optimizations.
* Monitor Snowflake credit usage and implement strategies for cost control.
* Manage data loading, ingestion (e.g., Snowpipe), and unloading processes.
* Utilize Snowflake features such as Zero-Copy Cloning, Time Travel, and Fail-safe for data recovery and environment management.
Security & Role-Based Access Control (RBAC):
* Design, implement, and maintain a robust Snowflake RBAC model following the principle of least privilege.
* Manage user accounts, roles, and access privileges to ensure secure and appropriate access to data assets.
* Configure and enforce advanced security features, including Data Masking Policies, Row Access Policies, and network policies.
* Integrate Snowflake with identity providers for Single Sign-On (SSO) and SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management). * Conduct regular access reviews and security audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX). * Deep expertise in designing and implementing Snowflake's Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model.
* Proficiency in Snowflake SQL and a strong understanding of its architecture (virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, roles).
Operations & Support:
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to database performance, connectivity, and data access.
* Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence teams to support data-related activities and development projects.
* Automate administrative and operational tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, SnowSQL) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform). * Maintain comprehensive documentation for database schemas, configurations, processes, and security best practices. * Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
