Description of Work:
• Senior Systems and Cloud Administrator to serve as the primary resource for managing and enhancing our core Microsoft
365 and VMWare environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our Windows-based
infrastructure, leading critical upgrade projects, and supporting our cloud migration initiatives.
• Microsoft 365 & Windows Server Administration: Serve as the primary administrator for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem,
including Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and security/compliance centers. Administer on-premises
Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, and SCCM.
• VMWare & Infrastructure Management: Act as the primary resource for administering VMWare configurations. Monitor server utilization, performance logs, and error logs. Assist in installing new servers and implementing new technologies. • Security & Compliance: Implement, manage, and maintain compliance with IT security mandates and policies. Test and deploy OS updates and security patches via a formal change management process. Recommend enhancements to security posture.
• Strategic Projects & Cloud Migration: Conduct market research for upgrade paths. Draft test and implementation plans
for approved projects. Provide support for migrating on-premise applications to the cloud.
• Operational Support: Administer desktop management systems to apply standard images and configurations. Manage
enterprise printers and print queues. Provide escalated technical support to end-users.
• Reporting & Recommendations: Proactively report issues identified through monitoring. Provide detailed technical
recommendations for improving infrastructure and ensuring compliance.

Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior systems administration role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Security & Compliance).
• Deep hands-on experience with VMWare vSphere administration.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
• Proven experience testing and deploying patches in a regulated environment.
• Experience drafting technical documentation, including test plans and implementation plans.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance

• Experience supporting econometric or statistical software (e.g., SAS, FAME, MATLAB).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including cost optimization and governance.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102) or equivalent.
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
• Knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance requirements.
• Experience with desktop management tools such as SCCM, Intune, and PDQ.
• Experience providing support for over 500 end-users, including executive staff.
