Job Summary:
· We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Python to join our dynamic team at Enbridge in Houston, Texas.
· The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in software development, demonstrating a proven ability to design, develop, and implement robust software solutions.
· This role requires a deep understanding of Python programming and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain high quality software applications using Python.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
· Identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.
· Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional growth.
Mandatory Skills:
· Expertise in Python programming language.
· Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
· Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
· Proficiency in database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
· Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
· Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
· Knowledge of front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
· Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
· Understanding of software security best practices.
