- We are seeking a Senior Oracle Developer with extensive experience in performance tuning of Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and queries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing complex Oracle-based solutions to support high-volume enterprise applications. This role requires deep knowledge of Oracle architecture and hands-on expertise in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Perform advanced performance tuning of PL/SQL code, queries, and database structures.
- Analyze and refactor poorly performing database code and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with DBAs, application developers, and system architects to implement best practices for performance and scalability.
- Utilize tools like AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, and SQL Plan Baselines to monitor and enhance performance.
- Hands on with Informatica ETL work flows
- Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to Oracle performance and provide timely resolutions.
- Document database designs, tuning results, and development standards.
- Support code reviews and mentor junior developers on Oracle best practices.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
- 5+ years of experience in Informatica ETL work flows
- Deep expertise in performance tuning Oracle packages and SQL queries (Oracle 12c/19c/21c).
- Strong understanding of Oracle internals, execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and optimizer behavior.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, AWR, ASH, TKPROF, SQL Trace, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Familiarity with high-volume OLTP and/or data warehouse environments.
- Ability to write efficient and reusable PL/SQL code.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments.
- Experience with performance tuning in cloud-based Oracle environments
