Job Description
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and ML models for key business problems such as:
o Personalized content recommendations
o Customer segmentation and lifetime value prediction
o Demand forecasting and churn analysis
o Audience engagement and sentiment analysis
• Utilize generative AI and predictive analytics to support content creation, marketing automation, and storytelling initiatives.
• Implement robust model monitoring, evaluation, and retraining strategies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate AI insights into actionable strategies that align with Disney’s creative and commercial goals.
• Mentor junior team members in AI/ML techniques, experimentation, and data science best practices.
Qualifications
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience applying AI and ML methods to solve business problems (preferably in media, entertainment, or digital streaming).
• Proven expertise in:
• Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• SQL and data wrangling tools
• Statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers)
• Experience with cloud-based ML environments (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML).
• Strong understanding of feature engineering, model interpretability, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with Generative AI (LLMs, diffusion models, reinforcement learning).
• Exposure to big data ecosystems (Spark, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with recommendation systems, computer vision, and NLP-based personalization.
• Prior experience in a consumer-facing digital or media organization.
