Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Security & Accounts Management Manager, the Security Analyst II will support the Department of Corrections by managing account provisioning and de-provisioning, maintaining access controls, and ensuring compliance with DOC and enterprise security standards.
This role focuses on coordinating account management projects, maintaining security integrity, and providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute account provisioning/de-provisioning across DOC platforms and applications.
- Apply and maintain security rules for application, server, and group folder access.
- Ensure compliance with DOC and enterprise security standards and policies.
- Manage and track customer access requests, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and updates.
- Support project-based initiatives involving user access and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve access and authentication issues.
- Coordinate account management activities with other agencies when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications (4–7 years of experience):
- Hands-on experience with user account provisioning and de-provisioning in enterprise environments.
- Practical understanding of access control, security policy enforcement, and directory services.
- Experience creating and managing email accounts, distribution lists, and shared mailboxes.
- Strong organizational skills for coordinating projects and workload among account management staff.
- Customer service mindset with experience communicating security procedures to end users.
Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills
- Experience with auditing, monitoring, and analyzing security systems.
- Familiarity with risk mitigation strategies and providing security recommendations.
- Ability to identify security threats or access-related risks associated with new systems or software.
