Lead automated testing efforts and contribute to quality strategy discussions within the Quality Engineering team.
• Work independently with moderate supervision to develop and maintain automated test suites.
• Define, implement, and maintain backend automated test suites for new and existing functionality using Java and Rest Assured.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks for regression testing of critical user scenarios.
• Solve complex automation challenges and develop solutions to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Execute and analyze automated test results; collaborate with QE and functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Set and review script quality standards to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
• Generate comprehensive test plans and execute them to deliver high-quality, reliable results.
• Participate in design discussions for new features and provide input on testing strategies.
• Support non-functional testing efforts, including performance, stability, reliability, and compatibility assessments.
• Collaborate with development, QE, and cross-functional teams to enhance overall product quality.
• Conduct demos and walkthroughs of automated test scripts; participate in peer reviews and technical deep dives.
• Identify areas for improvement in automation processes and implement innovative solutions.
• Collect and report quality metrics from test executions to improve testing effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of test automation experience, including at least 3 years in backend automation and core Java.
• Proficiency in backend automation frameworks, especially Java and Rest Assured.
• Experience with all phases of software testing, including functional, regression, end-to-end, and performance testing.
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
