Pre-Screening Questionnaire:
Do you have 3+ years of experience in robotics simulation or synthetic data generation?
Have you built simulation environments using Isaac Sim, Omniverse, or similar tools?
Are you proficient in Python and C++ for simulation or synthetic data workflows?
Do you have experience integrating simulation outputs into ML training or evaluation pipelines?
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
5+ years of experience developing advanced robotic simulation platforms, integrating Robotics, AI, PLC logic and manufacturing systems.
Proven experience building simulations with 40+ robots with software-in-the-loop
Experience designing simulation scenario language/framework to enable developers and non-developers in modeling realistic factory conditions. Proven experience with different physics engines including Isaac Sim, Open3DE, Gazebo, Mujoco. Experience architecting and deploying simulations onto multi-GPU infrastructure for automated pipelines both on-premises and cloud-based Proven experience integrating robots through ROS 2, Fanuc/Roboguide, or similar interfaces, with >500 ROS nodes, and >5000 ROS topics.
Experience creating discrete-event simulations for path planning optimizations
Experience in creating co-simulations of discrete-events with continuous physics-based simulations
Experience simulating multiple robots and sensors in real time, with realistic LiDAR cameras and physics behavior
Experience with 3D model development creating high fidelity maps
Experience creating useful simulation metrics and dashboards for reviewing simulation outputs
Experience with developing simulation interface that integrates diverse APIs and data formats
Experience with database design to handle users, static and dynamic assets, layout and route representations, and simulation sessions
Roles & Responsibilities:
Physics-based simulation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Cobot cells
Simulation-in-the loop testing of autonomy, perception, and control software
Reusable abstractions of robot hardware, sensors and PLC simulation
Scalable execution and orchestration of simulations for engineering validation, regression and scenario testing.
Establishment of a reusable simulation capability delivered as an ongoing deep tech engineering service, aligned with GM ownership and long-term extensibility.
