About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of our full-stack web application. You'll define architecture patterns, make technology decisions, and ensure our system is scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end system architecture for front-end and backend services
- Define technology standards, patterns, and best practices across the stack
- Architect scalable solutions using Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes
- Design GraphQL schema architecture and API contracts between services
- Plan and oversee integration of FusionAuth for SSO and identity management
- Define content architecture strategy with PayloadCMS
- Design database schemas, data models, and data access patterns in PostgreSQL
- Plan Kubernetes deployment architecture, including services, ingress, and scaling strategies
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
- Ensure security, performance, and reliability across all system components
- Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to development teams
- Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years in architecture roles
- Deep expertise in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript development
- Strong experience architecting Node.js backend systems
- Extensive experience with React and modern front-end architecture
- Proven experience designing GraphQL APIs and schemas
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with authentication/authorization systems and SSO implementations
- Understanding of microservices and distributed systems architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the specific tech stack: Vite, TanStack libraries, Apollo, Express
- Hands-on experience with FusionAuth or similar identity platforms
- Experience with PayloadCMS or similar headless CMS architectures
- Knowledge of Radix UI and design system architecture
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and security architecture
- Relevant certifications (Kubernetes, Cloud Architecture, etc.)
- Experience in leading technical teams and mentoring developers
