Position Overview
The Senior Software Architect defines and governs end‑to‑end solution architecture for large, complex systems. This role ensures solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with FIS technology strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own architectural vision and technical roadmap for key platforms and applications.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Provide deep architectural leadership for Snowflake, enabling secure, high‑performance, cost‑optimized data solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and guide adoption to improve performance, reliability, and developer efficiency.
- Partner with product, engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive solution design.
- Support delivery teams by clarifying architectural decisions and resolving technical risks.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale systems with modern cloud‑native architectures.
- Expert Snowflake architecture experience including multi‑cluster design, data modeling, governance, and integration patterns.
- Strong background in distributed systems, API design, resiliency engineering, and application security.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and drive architectural alignment.
