Job Title : Test Automation Engineer (TAE)

Responsibilities:
• Participate in various test practices including but not limited to test incident and defect management, manual testing and test automation
• Create and maintain tests within the squad that align with organization level and domain level test specifications
• Contribute to internal guidelines, standards and policies related to the development and test process
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand, design and implement tests on test objects within the scope of the squad
• Establish a working knowledge of technical and business domain within the scope of the squad
• Support the release process
Skills You Bring:
Technical:
• Must have experience utilizing various test design techniques that contribute to testing data quality
• Knowledge of Python’s testing framework, familiarity in several test frameworks, ideally pytest (intermediate level or above) to automate and execute tests for ETL, CI/CD pipelines, and scheduling tasks
• Use of version control to track changes to software test code
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Develop scripts to automate test execution
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
• Windows proficiency

Test Automation Engineer to work with the Equity & Portfolio Management Squad to
practice the craft of testing in both a manual and automated fashion.
This role will contribute to a strategic initiative of building a test automation
framework, initially focused on integration testing.
This role will closely partner with the Principal Test Automation Engineer and will be responsible for creating and maintaining code for the squad. The test automation code created will be based off best practices established and shared by other squads for consistency of patterns, styles and quality of developed code. Scaling test coverage in a consistent manner across squads will assist in modernizing our tech stack and create a quality system that provides significant value to our business end-users.

This role is based out of our office in Boston, Massachusetts and is required to follow the firm’s current hybrid work schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in-office, with the option to work Monday and Friday remote from home
