Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead (Level 2) to support the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) in managing multiple concurrent IT and business projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, and leading technical teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
Responsibilities
Support coordination of multiple IT and business projects simultaneously.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to accomplish project tasks.
Track milestones, maintain project documentation, and report on progress.
Assist project managers with planning, reporting, scheduling, and change requests.
Provide project status updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Coordinate testing phases, including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Support communication planning, training delivery, and meeting facilitation.
Perform additional duties as required to support project operations.
Required Experience (7+ years each)
Project management and coordination expertise.
Providing technical assistance to project managers.
Leading technical teams and monitoring project progress.
Meeting planning and logistics.
Detailed reporting to stakeholders.
Special project coordination.
Training and communication support.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Strong organizational and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
PMP Certification (preferred)
Experience working with the State of Texas (preferred)
Unemployment systems project experience (preferred)
Experience with Mainframe or Java-based projects (2+ years preferred)
