Title: PostgreSQL DBA
Location: Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA
100% onsite role
1. Strong knowledge of Postgres Architecture.
2. Experience with different types of backups and restores in Postgres.
3. Experience with database upgrade on minor and major versions.
4. Hands-on experience on Database replication and point-in-time-recovery.
5. Day to Day operations and troubleshooting performance issues like load average, locks, blocking and long running SQLs.
6. Commonly used PostgreSQL configuration parameters and common system tables usage.
7. Exposure to PostgreSQL maintenance tasks.
8. Exposure to PostgreSQL deployments in cloud like AWS(RDS or EC2) or GCP.
9. High-availability like Repmgr or pgpool or efm
10. Exceptional experience administering multi-terabyte databases
11. Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
12. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
13. Background in building large database infrastructure supporting a high volume of transactions in a mission-critical environment
14. Hands on experience on Kubernetes or any containerization technologies.
