Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle/MS SQL Database Administrator to join our team in the DMV area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining enterprise-level database systems with at least 5 years of hands-on experience. This role requires expertise in either Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server, along with a proactive approach to performance tuning, troubleshooting, and implementing security measures.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches when necessary.

Perform routine database maintenance tasks including backup and recovery processes.

Optimize database storage, indexing, and query performance.

Support development teams by designing and tuning database structures.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

Proficiency in Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server administration.

Experience in performance tuning, backup & recovery, database security, and monitoring.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure/SQL Database Administrator Associate/Expert certification.

Experience with cloud-based database platforms (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).

Knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL programming.
