Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle/MS SQL Database Administrator to join our team in the DMV area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining enterprise-level database systems with at least 5 years of hands-on experience. This role requires expertise in either Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server, along with a proactive approach to performance tuning, troubleshooting, and implementing security measures.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches when necessary.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks including backup and recovery processes.
- Optimize database storage, indexing, and query performance.
- Support development teams by designing and tuning database structures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Experience in performance tuning, backup & recovery, database security, and monitoring.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure/SQL Database Administrator Associate/Expert certification.
- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud).
- Knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL programming.
