Operation Technology (OT) Sec Engineer
Sacramento, CA Onsite
Need Onsite. 6 momths + possible extensions
Job Experience Requirements:
Education & Core Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years leading complex Operational Technology (OT) and IT projects,
- systems, processes, and suppliers.
- Experience managing suppliers, including implementing supplier service
- changes.
- Proven track record in deploying OT-IT convergence, governance changes, and
- large-scale rollouts.
Technical Expertise:
- OT/IoT Security & Testing:
- Hands-on experience with Nozomi Networks, Claroty, and Tenable OT
- security solutions.
- Penetration testing for IoT devices, including hardware, firmware, and
- protocol testing (e.g., MQTT, Modbus, Zigbee).
- Risk assessments for OT/IoT systems per ISA 62443, NIST SP 800-82,
- and industry-specific standards.
ICS/SCADA Engineering:
- Experience as an ICS control engineer with PLC, SCADA, and
- DCS systems.
- Firmware reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis.
- Information Security:
- Strong knowledge of InfoSec programs, technologies (e.g., SIEM,
- IDS/IPS), and governance (e.g., NIST SP 800-53a, NIST SP 800-161r1).
- Collaboration & Compliance:
- Experience working in highly collaborative environments to develop,
- operationalize, and document security solutions.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC UA, PROFINET, P
