Job Title: OpenText Exstream Developer
Introduction: We are seeking an experienced OpenText Exstream Developer with 8-10+ years of experience, preferably with expertise in the latest versions (V16 or V22). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating complex documents, handling various input and output formats, and supporting development, migration, and production processes. This role requires proficiency in designing solutions, writing formulas, debugging applications, and OpenText Exstream Developer interacting with diverse technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- OpenText Exstream Development:
- Develop and manage complex statements, notices, checks, and external content overlays using OpenText Exstream.
- Work with various input file formats (columnar, XML, PDF, JSON) and output formats (AFP, PDF, Postscript).
- Design and implement page layouts including complex data section-driven tables, data sections, and data mapping.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Write and manage formula variables and functions for document generation.
- Utilize search keys, sorting, bundling, Multiple-UPs (MUP), and 2-pass application processing effectively.
- Create and manage opt files for desktop testing to ensure accurate results.
- Packaging and Debugging:
- Package and debug OpenText Exstream applications, ensuring smooth deployment and functionality.
- Handle development, migration, enhancement, and production support for OpenText Exstream Developer Exstream applications.
- Schema and Data Handling:
- Work with XSD and XOB for schema import and export.
- Perform schema copy to MS Access DB if applicable.
- Familiarize with the environment section of the Exstream schema for proper configuration.
- Business and Functional Knowledge:
- Analyze business requirements and contribute to performance planning, monitoring, and forecasting.
- Understand banking operations related to credit card statements and deposit statement generation.
- Knowledge of print and archival system interfaces with AFP and PDF output is advantageous.
- Support and Tools:
- Utilize support tools such as AFP browsers, streamdiff, and cVision for effective troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of wrappers using Linux and Ab Initio for dialogue engine execution is a plus.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate OpenText Exstream Developer with stakeholders and team members effectively.
- Provide functional and technical expertise to ensure project success and meet business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-10+ years of experience with OpenText Exstream, preferably with V16 or V22.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in creating complex statements, notices, checks, and handling various input/output formats.
- Strong skills in page design, formula variables/functions, and data processing.
- Experience with XSD, XOB, and schema handling.
- Proficiency in packaging, debugging, and supporting Exstream applications.
- Functional Knowledge: Experience in banking operations, print, and archival system interfaces is a plus.
- Support Tools: Familiarity with AFP browsers, streamdiff, cVision, and knowledge of Linux and Ab Initio wrappers.
