Job Description Summary:
The CMM programmer will be a key contributor to the measurement process in Indianapolis, IN and contribute to the development of CMM programs in support the sites manufacturing operations. This role involves both quality
and technical leadership of the measurement and inspection processes within the Indianapolis manufacturing facility. The CMM programmer demonstrates accountability for some functional, business and site objectives. This role will support continuous improvement
of the CMM measurement process by taking the lead on troubleshooting activities associated with in-process and final view CMM programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create new and edit/up issue PCDMIS CMM measurement programs for an array of aerospace hardware manufactured in Indianapolis
Execute the independent validation of measurement processes to confirm compliance to measurement system analysis (MSA) requirements
Working with manufacturing engineering, support the measurement planning process across each part numbers method of manufacture (MoM)
Demonstrate ability to monitor and communicate the health of the measurement processes across the plant and recognize when support and escalation is necessary
Ensure robust management of CNC program revision control is maintained and the integrity of all inspection data is securely preserved
Support manufacturing engineering with the creation of technical instructions for all inspection processes utilized across the facility.
Seek out new measurement and inspection processes/procedures to improve throughput and the quality of both parts and their respective machining/special processes.
Develop and promote standardization of the CMM programming activity throughout the facility
Provide inspection technical support to operations and drive continued industrialization of inspection processes
Coordination and implementation of measurement and inspection activities
Maintain processes and equipment needed to support Indianapolis manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering)
Minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing or Engineering
Experience with PCDMIS programming software

Quality function experience
Experience in the use of CMM technology including scanning systems to capture component geometry
Understanding and the application of GD&T
Use of manual measurement gages to verify component geometry
Ability to interpret complex (aerospace) engineering drawings
Experience in the off-line and online development of CMM programs including programming without the aid of CAD models
Understanding of GR&R and principles of an MSA study
Experience with aviation quality requirements is beneficial
Use of CAD software, preferably NX with the ability to open and navigate models, extract data and export data for various applications
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools, systems and troubleshooting skills
Strong PC skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab
Experience in the inspection of jet engine hardware
