Intermediate knowledge of first 3 layers (Physical, Data Link, Network)
CompTIA Network+ Minimum certification preferred
Core Linux knowledge- understanding Shell Scripting, CLI, File System Management and Networking.
LPI Minimum cert (preferred)
-Project requires beging able to physcial move servers (50+ pounds consistently)
-Have Knowlege of the ins and outs of servers.
-Need to be able to physcial build a server which includes add network cards, Memory, Drives.
-Troubleshoot server at layer 1. verify all previous and newly installed hardware is working.
-Understanding initial setup though local IDRAC and iLO ports.(boot mode, hostname, IP)
-Updating all Firmware through both the IDRAC and iLO locally and possibly remotely.
-Broad understanding of IPs and Subnets. Using a local networks for connectivity.
-Should be familiar with Linux directory and navigating it as there are multiple software builds that will need to be managed.
