Job Title : Business Process Engineer
Location: Washinton,DC( hybrid for local)
Duration: 12 months
Job Responsibilities:
Performs tasks requiring delivery of analysis and advice for management regarding the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of large-scale healthcare programs and operations. Tasks may include conducting organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systems; performing gap analyses of differences between current and targeted states; documenting and delivering findings and recommendations; and conducting surveys, focus groups, and other accepted techniques for data collection in support of organization studies that specifically assess and analyze current organization states and management systems.
Skills Required :
• BS degree with 6 -9 years of experience implementing and performing assessment on large IT solution within business, clinical and operational environments.
• Ability to understand and document if a deployed business/clinical process or IT solution is meeting the business owner expectations.
o Demonstrate experience performing baseline assessments and post implementation assessments that determine if the implemented solution is functioning as expected and providing Its anticipated benefits.
o Candidate should understand value of comparing baseline assessment results to post implementation assessment results to identify where improvements have/have-not been realized.
• Experience documenting complex business, clinical and operational workflow processes and how they are supported by IT solutions. The candidate must have the ability to document the benefits, pain points and workarounds introduced by IT solutions within the business, operational and clinical workflow processes.
• Experience working within software development lifecycle deploying Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and custom-built clinical solutions
• Strong written and communication skills to include developing assessment reports that are written in common business language that include summarized business analysis that can be used to brief executive leadership.
• Candidate will be required to communicate with internal and external VHA project team members to uncover risks and issues that may be identified during business/clinical assessments. Needs to aggregate data collect from VHA project stakeholders to provide context, lesson learned and associated recommendations to correct issues or to develop future state requirements.
• Experience assessing requirement documentation such as Business Requirement Document, Performance Work Statement, Requirement Traceability document etc.
• Experience working within software development lifecycle deploying Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and custom-built clinical solutions
• Candidate possess strong written and communication skills.
• Understanding of project management concepts such as Organization Change Management, Risk Assessment, and Communication Planning etc.
• Ability to assess key project management artifacts such as an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Communication Plan, RACI etc.
• Exposure to health Information Technologies (IT) strategies and implementation of EHRM solutions
• Candidate understands data standards, interoperability, change management, patient outcomes/patient safety concepts
• Familiar with VHA major initiatives and concepts such as Mission Act, EHRM, Pharmacy reengineering etc.
• Clinical background to include the ability to develop as-is and to-be clinical and operational workflows using industry standard tools.
