Role: Java Developer with AWS ideally in financial services or risk-focused domains.
Job Location:-Dallas, TX (Day- 1 Onsite, Candidate needs to work at 5 Days at the Client Office)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
What You'll Do
• Collaborate with risk, quant, and engineering stakeholders to modernize legacy risk applications (credit & liquidity risk) into cloud-native architectures on AWS.
• Develop, refactor, and enhance microservices using Java or Python, emphasizing clean design, testability, and performance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for automated, repeatable deployments to AWS.
• Build robust CI/CD pipelines, deploy services, monitor performance, and ensure operational reliability.
• Deliver risk metrics, analytics, and tooling that empower senior management, risk officers, and regulators
• Embrace agile and test-driven development practices to deliver high-quality software iteratively and iteratively improve system architecture over time
Skill sets Required
• Professional software development experience, ideally in financial services or risk-focused domains.
• Strong programming expertise and proficiency in designing, developing and testing software in Java or Python
• Proficiency in designing, developing and testing enterprise level software applications with a focus on RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience building or migrating applications into AWS, including microservices, serverless, or containerized components. •
• Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud deployment best practices
• The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both in writing and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse technology teams
• Experience with public cloud environments (AWS Certified Developer or equivalent)
• Background in Financial Services or Risk (credit, liquidity, market), data workflows, or analytics is a plus, but not required
