Position : MuleSoft ESB Developer – Level III
Location : Washington, DC Onsite
Duration : Long term contract
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Developer – Level III to design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using ESB technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in middleware development, integration frameworks, and enterprise application communication, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance integration services.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement integration solutions using ESB technologies (MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, TIBCO, Oracle Service Bus, or equivalent).
• Develop, deploy, and maintain APIs, services, and integration flows.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and developers to define integration requirements.
• Optimize integration performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement security, authentication, and authorization for integration endpoints.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve ESB-related issues in production and non-production environments.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment plans, and operational guides.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 6–8+ years in software development, with 3+ years of hands-on ESB development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more ESB platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Oracle Service Bus (OSB), or TIBCO.
• Strong understanding of SOA, microservices architecture, and API-led connectivity.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, and messaging systems (JMS, Kafka).
• Hands-on experience with integration design patterns, transformation, routing, and orchestration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in an ESB platform (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer).
• Experience with cloud-based integration services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of enterprise data formats, security protocols, and compliance standards.
