Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in Recommendations Engine development to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with our client, TechM, to develop and implement cutting-edge recommendations systems that enhance user experiences and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and user needs, and design recommendation solutions that align with these objectives.
Develop, implement, and maintain recommendation systems that utilize machine learning and data analysis techniques.
Utilize extensive domain knowledge and expertise in recommendation algorithms to improve and optimize existing recommendation systems.
Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to train and fine-tune recommendation models.
Evaluate the performance of recommendation systems and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of machine learning and recommendation systems to propose and implement new, cutting-edge techniques.
Document work, share knowledge, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing recommendation systems, ideally in an industry setting.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
Excellent understanding of various recommendation algorithms, including collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid models.
Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
