Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Must be local to New Jersey and available to work onsite twice per week.
Overview:
The State of New Jersey is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support analysis, design, coding, and maintenance of critical mainframe applications. This role will include both new development and production support within the Information Technology Office (ITO) and ATCSU unit.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, code, test, and debug COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications.
Develop and deliver new or modified programs based on detailed specifications.
Perform unit testing and assist users during system testing phases.
Participate in maintenance and production support activities.
Collaborate with ITO and ATCSU teams to design and implement technical solutions.
Support database conversion efforts as needed.
Qualifications:
4-year college degree or equivalent technical training.
Hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, and IBM OS/JCL (MVS).
Strong knowledge of CICS and experience with IDMS/DC to CICS and IDMS to DB2 conversions.
Experience participating in Usability and System Testing with end users.
