Job Description:
Data Warehouse / SQL Developer, SSRS, Advanced SQL
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Strategy
- Designing and implementing cloud-based data warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL DW) to create a single source of truth.
- Building pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Azure Databricks to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into the warehouse.
- Developing dimensional models (fact and dimension tables) within the gold layer of the Medallion architecture to enable efficient BI reporting.
- Tuning SQL queries, managing indexes, partitioning, and scaling Synapse compute resources to maintain high performance.
- Integrating structured relational data with unstructured data from Azure Data Lake Analyze COBOL programs, copybooks, JCL workflows, CICS/IMS transactions, DB2 schemas, and VSAM files.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience SSRS , Databricks, Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure.
- 10+ Analysis Services.
- CI/CD, Git, Jenkins/GitHub/Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with domain driven design (DDD).
- Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Exposure to financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
- Enterprise architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Ability to influence and lead technical teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced delivery environment.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
Role Descriptions:
- Design and develop SQL Server stored procedures| functions| views and triggers to be used during the ETL process
- Designing and developing SSIS SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems for processing by QRM
- Builds data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files| moving data from one database platform to another
- Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data
- Design| implement and maintain database objects (tables| views| indexes| ) and database security
- Experience working with SSIS packages
- Proficient with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS
- Analyze and develop strategies and approaches to import and transfer data between source| staging| and ODS Data Warehouse destinations
- Test and prepare ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments
- Support system and acceptance testing including the development or refinement of test plans
Essential Skills: monitoring job execution| troubleshooting performance issues| optimizing SQL queries| and ensuring data integrity and security through robust SSIS package development.
