Position: Network Engineer III

Onsite in Orlando, FL. (Need only Local candidates)

Minimum Qualifications

– Must be eligible for a favorable Tier II background investigation (VA conducts this BGV)

– Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure installation, configuration, and maintenance

– Required Certifications:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – valid for 3 years

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – no expiration

  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – valid for 3 years

Technical Competencies

– Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills

– Expertise in:

  • Cisco VRF-lite configuration

  • Cisco 6509/6500 series data center equipment

  • Cisco Catalyst 4000/3000 access layer switches

  • Cisco Systems (5500 series controllers, 3000 series APs)

  • Cisco ACS 802.1X endpoint administration

  • VLAN management and core services installs

  • Enterprise network architecture, routing, metro-e LANs, and VRFs

– Lifecycle management of network assets

– Wireless controller configuration and maintenance

Responsibilities

– Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WLAN environments

– Support and maintain Industrial Control Network (ICN)

– Manage IP space and documentation for ICN devices

– Troubleshoot network hardware/software, IP telephony, and security systems

– Support CCTV, AMAG, and JCI systems

– Lead network migrations and inter-site connectivity

– Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 3 and VA security policies

– Provide monthly reports and documentation

– Attend project meetings and coordinate with other contractors

Training Requirements

Must complete the following VA trainings (initially and annually):

– Dementia Communication

– Insider Threat Awareness

– Privacy & HIPAA

– Records Management

– OIT Access Training

– Wandering/Missing Patient Protocol
