Data Architect Overview: Seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Architect to lead our data strategy and architecture. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems, the ability to design future state architectures, and the capability to oversee data engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will also possess a broad understanding of business operations to create a multi-year data strategy that incorporates AI and leverages AWS technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Data Strategy Ownership: Develop and own the comprehensive data strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. • Technical Expertise: Deeply understand and document current data structures and databases of legacy systems. • Future State Design: Design future state architectures and ETL processes to enhance data management and integration. • Leadership: Oversee data engineer contractors and ensure effective collaboration between onshore and offshore teams. • Solution Development: Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the data platform/clouds. • Technical Design: Lead technical design sessions in partnership with the tech services organization to develop optimal technical solutions. • Development & Integration: Develop, test, implement, and manage development and integrations on the data platform. Identify deliverables, milestones, and tasks to deliver new and maintain existing capabilities. • Issue Resolution: Address technical issues promptly to meet uptime and business SLAs. • Code Standards: Follow code standards and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency. • Mentorship: Mentor, coach, and upskill junior data architects and engineers on the team. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role. • Strong understanding of AWS technologies and cloud solutions. • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and database design. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Experience with AI and machine learning integration is a plus.
