AS400 Developer (COBOL/DB2)Location: Open to candidates based in the US Overview:We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400. The ideal candidate will have the ability to analyze and troubleshoot COBOL programs independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support and enhance legacy systems.Key Responsibilities:Analyze, develop, and support applications written in COBOL400 and CL400 on the AS400 platformWrite and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and reportingPerform independent analysis of COBOL programs to identify bugs, enhancements, and performance improvementsCollaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and implement system changesProvide technical documentation and participate in code reviews as neededTroubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 supportRequired Skills & Experience:5+ years of hands-on experience with AS400, COBOL400, CL400, and DB2/400Strong SQL skills with proven experience in data analysis and reportingAbility to independently analyze and modify COBOL programsExcellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindsetExperience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentPreferred:Prior experience in finance, insurance, or large enterprise environments
