Job Title: Sr Systems Engineer

Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of Linux server lifecycle management (deployment, maintenance, security, decommissioning) both on-premises and in the public cloud.
- Lead security-focused efforts to harden the Linux environment (OS firewalling, SELinux, auditd, encryption, MFA).
- Identify and deploy automation for operational improvements using scripting across systems and storage technologies.
- Respond to and resolve alerts associated with Linux, VMware, and storage events.
- Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve escalated system and application issues.
- Maintain accurate Confluence documentation and manage team source code in SCM/Git, tracking tasks in Jira.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of proven experience in managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware.
- Experience supporting Linux systems running Oracle DBs in an iSCSI/FC SAN environment.
- Proven skills using Bash, Python, or Ansible for scripting and automation.
- Red Hat Satellite experience in patching and vulnerability management.
- Strong NetApp file/block (NFS/iSCSI/FC) storage experience preferred (NFSv4 w/Kerberos a plus).
- Experience with CIS standards adoption is a plus.
- REST API scripting/automation experience is a plus.
- Cisco UCS or other blade infrastructure experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; financial industry experience is a plus.
