Linux Engineer c2c jobs

Position – Linux Engineer
Location – Highlands Ranch, CO-Onsite
Rate :$55/hr on C2C
Primary Skill : Unix/Linux Server, Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster

Role Summary:
•            Installing, configuring and maintaining Unix/Linux Servers / Virtualization.
•            Installation and configuration of HA environment using Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster.
•            Configuration and administration of LVM and Veritas logical volume manager.
•            Installing and Maintaining kick start environment
•            Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task
•            Administer and configure various FS like JFS,ext2, ext3, OCFS & Pseudo FS
•            Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
•            Knowledge on Apache virtual hosting, SSL website configuration
•            Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.
•            Administration of NIS or LDAP environment.
•            Configuring Unix Security baseline.
•            Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning.
•            Performance Management & fine tuning.
•            Patch and Package administration
•            Extensive experience in kernel patching and firmware upgradation.
•            Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
•            Able to handle most of basic to advanced calls in User, group management, system start-up, service modification, crontab entries, ACL modifications, file system management, root & OS backups Experience in Server
•            Experience on following will be added advantage Samba, DNS, NIS, Send mail / Exim / Postfix / Qmail, LDAP
•            Knowledge on Vulnerability remediation
•            Understanding of Qualys
•            Proactively monitoring the Server’s health and taking preventive or corrective action as required.
•            NIC bonding using bonding kernel module.
•            Sound experience in Linux LVM, VxVM and Solaris SVM.
•            Providing technical support to the concerned clients to resolve encountered problems during a change in a timely manner as per SLA
•            Submitting RCA report to the management
•            Depth knowledge in ITIL Process (Incident, Change, Problem Management etc)
•            Scheduling/Controlling of Jobs using Cron
•            Debug bigger issues with network, heartbeats – VCS, Vault
•            Hands on experience on IBM AIX & Red Hat Cluster
•            Knowledge on ITSM tool Service Now will be advantage
