ROLE SYNOPSIS
The Network lead is a hands-on subject matter expert responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a global team of network engineers. The Network lead role shall demonstrate ownership, accountability and lead the team to address complex networking issues.
This role is expected to play the role of a subject matter expert in networking technologies, and particularly in cloud networking. This role will guide the team to deliver the BAU operations as well as prioritize & assign work from the backlog to meet business outcomes.
This role will be working in conjunction with like-minded technical squads to deploy and manage network infrastructure, associated processes, and systems. As a detail-oriented and skilled problem solver you’ll be helping in streamlining the processes, working closely with the Product Owner and bpx SMEs to recommend and implement solutions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· As a Senior Network Engineer, assist a team of highly skilled engineers in core network infrastructure planning, design, and deployment of network systems.
· Provide technical consultation and operational support for enterprise-wide IT network infrastructure.
· Demonstrate leadership as part of a geographically dispersed team, effectively communicating prioritized business needs and prioritized project statuses.
· As a subject matter expert, mentor other Network Engineers in the squad.
· Take accountability for enterprise-wide network team tasks and project deliverables.
· Proactively liaise with the Product Owner & Scrum Master to identify areas needing attention.
· Takes initiatives, stays up-to-date with the latest networking trends, techniques, and best practices, and determines the best possible ways to incorporate good practices into the team.
· Partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure network considerations are built into solutions effectively.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ø 10+ years’ experience in Network Engineering role
Ø Experience in migrating and/or extending on-premises networks to the cloud.
Ø Highly proficient in Legacy Networking

§ Policies, Zones, Objects, NATing, Auditing 
§ Routing ·

§ Wireless LAN – configuring and troubleshooting ISE nodes.
Ø Strong to advanced knowledge of AWS Network Architecture, Management of Security Groups & Subnet Management

Ø Firewall Rules – Palo Alto (Must Have)
Ø Cloud Infrastructure (Nice to have)
o Experience deploying infrastructure using either – terraform, cloud formation, or ARM o Monitoring & troubleshooting using CloudWatch, Science Logic
Ø Good knowledge of cloud technologies, such as IaaS, PaaS, SDN, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Openstack, and other emerging technologies
Ø Understanding of SDWAN

DESIRABLE CRITERIA In addition to the essential criteria & qualifications the person shall demonstrate: · Time and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask. · Strong team building and mentoring capabilities.

 ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
Ø Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
Ø Networking certifications (CCNA. CCNP)
Ø Cloud certification (nice to have)
