Job Title: Lead Automation with Ansible

Location: Hybrid at Mahwah, NJ

Position Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

·         Lead and support the migration of automation code from legacy systems (TFS) to Azure DevOps (ADOS), including repository setup, access configuration, and code decoupling.

·         Guide teams through Ansible playbook linting, onboarding, and testing in AWX across development, test, and production environments.

·         Troubleshoot automation issues, support code cleanup, and develop scripts/tools to streamline refactoring and standardization tasks.

·         Provide hands-on training and mentorship to teams new to AWX, including demos, documentation, and support materials to build long-term team autonomy.

· Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with access controls, network segmentation, and system integration requirements.

·         Track progress across multiple teams, manage onboarding timelines, and ensure all technical processes are well-documented for operational readiness.

Required Qualifications:

·         2+ years’ experience in Ansible (playbook creation, linting, testing) and AWX/Tower, with experience onboarding teams to these platforms.

·         Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADOS), including repository management, branching strategies, and access control.

·         Skilled in code migration and automation pipeline setup, especially transitioning from legacy systems like TFS.

·         2+ years’ experience in scripting and automation tooling (e.g., Python, Bash) to support code cleanup, linting, and custom tooling.

·         Familiar with CI/CD workflows, version control best practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

·        Highly skilled at training teams and documenting technical processes, with a focus on scaling AWX knowledge and ensuring consistent implementation.
