About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive LabVantage LIMS Administrator to join our team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be accountable for the configuration, installation, training, and maintenance of the LabVantage LIMS platform. You will act as the primary liaison between laboratory staff, IT, and quality assurance teams to ensure the system meets the complex data management needs of our research and quality control laboratories .
Key Responsibilities
System Configuration & Customization:

Configure and customize LabVantage LIMS components, including Biobanking, Consumables Management, ELN/LES, Array Management, Request Management, and Reports to meet specific laboratory workflow needs .

Utilize tools like the LabVantage LIMS Designer and Configuration Console to tailor the system, ensuring alignment with research practices and data management strategies .
Administration & Maintenance:

Install, upgrade, and maintain LabVantage LIMS software and related components. Manage system patches and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance .

Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions according to security protocols (21 CFR Part 11) .
Testing & Validation:
Integration & Troubleshooting:

Work with cross-functional teams to integrate LabVantage LIMS with other laboratory systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and instruments to facilitate seamless data exchange .

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end-users, acting as the point of contact for escalated IT problems .
Training & Documentation:

Provide comprehensive training and ongoing assistance to end-users on the utilization and optimization of LabVantage LIMS components .

Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials. Maintain system documentation to support audits .
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related technical field .

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a LabVantage LIMS Administrator or similar role .

Technical Skills:
-
Proven experience in configuring and customizing LabVantage modules (ELN/LES, Biobanking, Reports) .

Proficiency with LabVantage tools (Designer, Configuration Console) .

Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Java, Jasper Reports, and Bartender .

Understanding of GxP validation processes and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, CLIA) .

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with instrument interfacing and laboratory automation .

Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies .

Experience with master data management and data migration (e.g., transitioning from LabWare to LabVantage)
